Lori Fritz- Faith Formation Director- Personal Introduction
As a practicing Catholic since childhood, I’m happy to again be in a profession that helps me grow in my faith. I have been a member of St. James Parish since 1993 serving as a Faith Formation Catechist for the past 8 years. From 1994-1999, I taught at St. James School as a 4
th/5
th/6
th grade teacher and a 3
rd grade teacher.
In past years I have also worked in the public school system working with kids from kindergarten through 12
th grade. I have also worked as a ballroom dance instructor, volunteered as a Girl Scout Leader, and tried my hand at writing for children’s periodicals.
I currently reside in rural Brighton with my husband, Joseph, and my 3 children Michael (13), Julia (11), and Sophia (8). We enjoy motorcycling, riding ATVs, and taking care of our landscape and pets. Additional hobbies of mine include reading, writing, crafting, and watching my children excel in many areas of sports, dance, and musical arts. Joseph keeps busy as a crop insurance adjuster, farms, and works for the Fairfield Community School district as a coach and bus driver.
Serving as the Parish Faith Formation Director will give me the opportunity to work with children and adults of all ages in my faith community. Please be patient with me as I learn (and relearn) names and faces! I look forward to getting to know your family, the parish family, and the local community in this calling.
